Chelsea Joy Handler born 25th February 1975 in Livingston New Jersey. The family was comprised of six people including Chelsea Joy Handler being the youngest. Her father, a car dealer, was also her maternal grandmother. Her mother was the daughter of a German Immigrant, who immigrated to her home in United States in 1958. In 1989, she had a diagnosis of cancer, and passed away after fighting for 10 years. Handler was brought up in Reform Judaism by her father who was Jewish. Handler was born into an area that was nice, and had a joyful childhood. As a teenager and relocated into Los Angeles to pursue her acting profession. To help support herself, Handler began to work as an actress. Handler began performing as a stand-up comedy full-time when she was 21. Handler had realized that she is gifted at storytelling. Handler began her professional career as a member of the female-only Oxygen cast in the reality TV series Girls behaving badly. The show featured a combination of hidden camera and practical comedy. The show ran on air from 2002 to 2005. Handler began appearing in other shows such as Weekends at D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler started her professional career as a reporter for The Tonight Show. Her breakthrough occurred in 2006, after she started hosting her own show on E! Chelsea Handler's show. The show lasted for 2 seasons. The following year, Handler performed on the Comedy Central's Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour in the United States. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend (and HBO) have shown her stand-up shows. In 2010 it was announced that she would be hosting at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards.
